Eric Carlson

Prior to joining Tricap, Eric Carlson most recently served as Managing Director for Forum Absolute Capital Partners, a real estate private equity firm based in New York City, where he was responsible for sourcing new development transactions in New York and U.S. gateway cities. Prior to Forum, Mr. Carlson lead the acquisition platforms for TFO USA Ltd, a Middle-eastern based private equity fund, and Manolis & Company LLC, a boutique merchant banking outfit. 

From 1997 to 2009, Mr. Carlson worked in a variety of real estate acquisition roles at RFR Holding LLC, a privately-held real estate investment and development company out of New York. Mr. Carlson rose from the initial position of Senior Analyst to the top post in acquisitions and development and oversaw a broad-based acquisition and development platform focused on a variety of asset classes across the United States. 

In his career, Mr. Carlson has led the acquisition, development and redevelopment efforts for projects in New York City, Miami Beach, West Palm Beach and beyond. These endeavors included purchase and leasing negotiation, ground-up project management and renovation, and repositioning for commercial office, hospitality, and residential projects. 

Mr. Carlson received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1993, Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Tennessee in 1997, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University in 2002. Mr. Carlson is an attorney admitted to the New York State bar and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of New York.

Brandon Cauff

Brandon Cauff joined Tricap in 2006 to direct the transformation of the Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas. Mr. Cauff worked closely with architects, designers and contractors to complete a successful $75,000,000 redevelopment and repositioning of the 485,000-square-foot indoor shopping mall in 24 months. Today, the center boasts 170 stores and more than 20 restaurants. 

Following the completion of Miracle Mile Shops’ redevelopment, Mr. Cauff transitioned back to his native Miami Beach to assist in the development of W South Beach Hotel and Residences, a $500 million plus, 408-room condominium hotel project on a prime oceanfront stretch in the heart of South Beach. Mr. Cauff’s duties have evolved with the project, and today he oversees and manages all aspects of the property on behalf of ownership through a close working relationship with Marriott with a focus on continual improvement of high-level systems and strategies. Furthermore, Mr. Cauff also provides vital insight to site operations as well as hotel revenue management and marketing strategy, and also serves as owner liason to the Food and Beverage outlets at the hotel.

In addition to his W responsibilities, Mr. Cauff manages Tricap’s Wynwood portfolio and more broadly focuses on business development in the Greater Miami region.

Prior to joining Tricap, Mr. Cauff was Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, & Flight Logistics for a private jet aviation provider. He earned his BA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business and triple-majored in Finance, Consulting/Venture Management, and Information Technology. 

Mr. Cauff has lived in Miami Beach for more than 10 years where he is an active supporter of numerous civic and charitable organizations throughout South Florida.
