David Edelstein

Mr. Edelstein has been investing and developing real estate for over 25 years. He has established a track record of consistent investing success across asset classes in major markets throughout the United States. From Tricap’s headquarters in New York, Mr. Edelstein oversees a diverse portfolio located primarily in New York, South Florida, Seattle, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles.

Mr. Edelstein’s notable achievements include high-profile and prominent transactions such as Tricap’s $235 million acquisition, complete transformation and subsequent $1.1 billion sale of the Miracle Mile Shops on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as the development of the critically acclaimed W South Beach Hotel & Residences in Miami Beach, FL. In addition, Mr. Edelstein has recently amassed a $1.5 billion portfolio of Class A trophy office buildings headquartered by large cap tech tenants including Apple, Facebook and Amazon in core urban locations in Seattle, WA, Bellevue, WA, and Silicon Valley, CA.

A cornerstone of Mr. Edelstein’s success has been his ability to identify and cultivate early stage investment opportunities in emerging submarkets. This pattern was most recently affirmed by Tricap’s assemble of over half a million square feet of prime development sites in Miami’s Wynwood district, one of the hottest markets in the country. In addition, Tricap’s significant existing foothold and near-term planned expansion in transitional neighborhoods in New York City and the outer boroughs leaves Tricap well-positioned to capitalize on New York’s continued economic expansion and diversifying employment base.

After spending several years on Wall Street in the Mortgage Backed Securities departments of Morgan Stanley and Daiwa Securities, Ms. Mansfield partnered with David Edelstein in the late 1990s with their first acquisition of a portfolio of properties on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.

Ms. Mansfield began her real estate career as an analyst in CB Commercial’s Institutional Sales division, she was responsible for valuing large real estate assets including regional malls, CBD office buildings, industrial portfolios and hotels. From there she transitioned to Greystone Realty, New York Life’s Equity Real Estate advisor, working with the acquisition team to identify, value and negotiate the purchase of real estate properties. Following Greystone, Ms. Mansfield joined Rockwood Realty as a Vice President and helped grow the firm’s brokerage business. At Rockwood, she represented institutional clients such as MetLife, Prudential, The Related Companies, Whitehall and Lehman Brothers, in the sale of large commercial assets nationwide.

In addition to her investments with Tricap, Ms. Mansfield led a small investment group in the acquisition of a 100-key beachfront hotel in the historic summer enclave of Montauk, Long Island. She was also involved in buying and repositioning three boutique hotel properties in Southampton, including the popular Capri Hotel.
